The latest technology at an affordable price point
The FinePix JV300 features Fujifilm’s very latest 14 megapixel CCD sensor and a high quality 3x optical Fujinon zoom lens that lets users capture wide, sweeping scenes and zoom into details, for a closer look. The camera’s LCD screen has been redesigned too – it’s now 2.7 inches in size and offers 150% improved brightness over the Fujifilm FinePix L55 model it replaces. The enhanced screen means users can enjoy improved playback of images and easier composition. What’s more, the camera has been optimised to offer users improved start-up times and faster autofocus, so it’s even quicker to use.
Automatic brilliance
Fujifilm’s Scene Recognition (SR) Auto allows the FinePix JV300 to recognise six different types of scene, automatically adjusting the camera’s settings to ensure great pictures. Detectable scenes include Portrait, Macro, Landscape, Night Portrait, Night and Backlit Portrait.
For improved portraits, users can activate the FinePix JV300’s Face Detection with the camera adjusting focus and exposure to guarantee clear and bright images. In addition, the FinePix JV300 can automatically spot up to ten different faces in a scene and select settings for optimal capture of all ten individuals, as well as reducing the effects of red-eye if a flash is used.
Keeping sharp after dark
The FinePix JV300 comes equipped with all the imaging technology needed to capture beautiful images in low light situations. The camera’s ISO can be adjusted from 100 right up to 3200, which is ideal for preserving detail and maximizing all available light when shooting after dark. The FinePix JV300 also has Digital Image Stabilisation, which automatically detects when images are likely to be blurred and increases the camera’s shutter speed to assist in the capture of sharp pictures. When even more light is needed, the FinePix JV300’s on-camera flash boasts i-Flash technology and a maximum flash distance of 3m for beautifully lit pictures after dark.
Advanced creativity
In addition to the ergonomically placed control dials and mode selector buttons on the rear of the camera, the FinePix JV300 has a dedicated record button that users can press to start shooting movies in 720p High Definition (HD) – representing incredible quality at this price point.
In-camera video editing functionality enables users to work on their videos without having to upload files to a computer or use editing software – and because the camera captures video and stills in HD quality, users can play them back on an HD ready TV for the whole family to enjoy.
